The trust has grown to include 10 academies with primary, secondary, all-through, as well as Central Services and a School Improvement team. Our values of excellence, integrity, and resilience guide us to be the best we can be. Learners are at the heart of what we do, and their outcomes and successes drive us.
As a Multi-Academy Trust, we work in partnership with local educational institutions to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing, which is critical to our culture of continuous improvement. More information about the trust can be found on our website www.fcat.org.uk.
Blackpool Aspire Academy opened in 2014 after the merger of Bispham High School and Collegiate High School. The school moved into its current building in 2015, sharing an entrance with Highfurlong School. The FCAT sponsors the school.
The school's motto is: “Success, nothing less!” It aims for all pupils to achieve their potential in a stimulating environment. The school follows six core values under the acronym ASPIRE: achievement and attainment, success, progress, inspiration, resilience, and enriched opportunities. Pupils are taught to be kind and considerate members of the community.
Students are encouraged to pursue their goals, with many extracurricular activities and academic clubs to develop skills and interests.
Ofsted reports that pupils are well-prepared for the next stage of education or employment, with a comprehensive careers strategy and leadership opportunities like pupil parliament. The number of pupils not progressing to further education, employment, or training has significantly decreased since the school's opening.
