The Clinical Imaging and Medical Physics (CLIMP) directorate is seeking a radiographer with extensive breast imaging and management experience to lead the Breast Imaging Services. This newly-created role will provide expert professional, clinical and strategic leadership for the radiographers, assistant practitioners and clinical support workforce within the Breast Imaging service
Acting as a role model of Trust values and creating a culture of collaborative, partnership working, the post holder will develop strong internal and external professional working relationships to effectively lead the transformation and optimisation of the Breast Imaging service. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that radiographers, Assistant Practitioners and support staff have a single point of visibility and accountable, professional leadership across the Breast Imaging service.

Reporting operationally to the CLIMP General Manager and Head of Radiology Services, the post holder will work collaboratively with the wider Breast Imaging team, internal and external stakeholder groups to deliver outstanding levels of diagnostic imaging, with a high emphasis on patient safety, high quality care and excellent staff experience. The post holder will be accountable for the delivery of Breast imaging services which conform to professional standards, meet clinical governance compliance requirements, and national performance KPI targets.
As Lead Practitioner, the post holder is responsible for overseeing the operational, financial, workforce and strategic direction of their service and team, contributing to and ensuring that these are in line with the overarching CLIMP, AHP, Directorate and Trust strategy. In addition, the post holder will lead on providing technical clinical imaging advice and expertise to Trust stakeholders, they will support strategic, capital land business planning, the design of new installations and equipment procurement, installation, testing and acceptance.
