Job summary

What we look for in new colleagues
  • First Level UK registered nurse / Registered AHCP with at least 2 years post-qualified experience.
  • Non-medical Prescriber.
  • Evidence of academic links.
  • Extensive clinical experience in primary care settings and managing nursing teams.
  • Understanding of the Lead Role.

It would be very desirable if the applicant can perform spirometry or is willing to obtain this skill.

Key duties
  • Collaborate with the practice team, Practice Manager, Clinical Lead GP, Regional Nurse, and other leads to meet targets in line with guidelines and standards.
  • Provide patient care within professional boundaries, including history taking, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation.
  • Demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Apply critical thinking and work collaboratively to meet patient needs, supporting policy implementation, and providing nurse leadership as required, meeting NMC requirements for advanced practice.
  • Work with the Regional Lead Nurse to ensure high standards and quality.
  • Implement and monitor clinical strategies, ensuring high-quality nursing/AHCP services and contributing to redesign and quality improvement initiatives.
