The Old Fire Station Surgery in Beverley seeks an experienced Lead Nurse to lead our nursing team of 6 Nurses and Health Care Assistants, delivering high quality care with strong governance and compassionate practice. You will develop team relationships, guide policy updates, and oversee infection control, vaccination campaigns and chronic disease management within an established management framework.

NHS Band 7 AfC salary with pension and parking; 30 hours per week to full-time, with

Qualificações

• Registered General Nurse (RGN) with current NMC registration.
• Training in diabetes care.
• Minimum 3 years post-registration experience in primary care.
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience.

Responsabilidades

• Lead Practice Nurse to provide guidance, training and development for the nursing team.
• Support practice performance and achievement of QOF.
• Lead the development and update of clinical policies and guidelines.
• Infection control clinical lead for the practice.
• Oversee treatment room activities including vaccinations and wound care.
• Plan and manage vaccination campaigns (flu, shingles) and respond to queries.
• Manage chronic disease management for asthma/COPD, hypertension, diabetes, CHD.
• Support with mentoring and prescribing where appropriate.
• Participate in audits, service evaluations and quality improvement initiatives.
• Develop and review clinical systems and protocols for care delivery.
