Job summary
GE-Vernova- is seeking a Power System Engineer with deep expertise in electrical protection, control panel engineering, and excitation systems for substations and power generation equipment. You will guide multi-disciplinary teams across tendering, design, and commissioning for AIS/GIS projects up to 400 kV and generation protection schemes.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Power Systems or related technical subject.
- Experience with protection co-ordination studies and relay coordination.
- Hands-on experience with relay testing kits and panel design tools (OMICRON CMC, EPLAN, AutoCAD).
Responsibilities
- Provide technical ownership of projects, producing detailed specifications, reports, diagrams, and I/O lists.
- Lead design reviews, tender support, and risk management across multi-region projects.
- Support FAT, SAT, and site commissioning for protection and excitation panels.
- Mentor graduate and junior engineers in protection design and testing.
- Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure compliant and safe protection schemes.
- Ensure designs comply with IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-103, and related standards.
- Travel for short-term assignments and obtain UK security clearance.
