Stoke On Trent College is seeking a dedicated individual to join its Student Experience Team as a safeguarding campus lead. This pivotal role involves ensuring student safety, managing behavior, and acting as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead. Salary: Circa. £28,000per annum (Grade 3A)
Full Time, 37 Hours Per Week, Permanent (1.0 FTE)

Our success is through Our People!We are looking for inspirational and dedicated individuals tosupport, influence, and improve behaviour standards across the College, improving the attendance, retention and achievement of students – through a proactive and visible presence on campus, challenging unsafe behaviours and educating learners to enable them to make better choices.
Acting as a campus lead for all daytime incidents, in support of and in collaboration with relevant colleagues, escalating matters to management as judged appropriate and in the context of policy, procedure and responsible practice. This lead role includes oversight and guidance of the Positive Behaviour Practitioners to ensure effective teamwork for campus behaviour and safety management.
As an integral member of the College’s Safeguarding Team, the role encompasses duties as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead – including being a first point of contact for safeguarding referrals, interventions and concerns, liaising with appropriate external agencies as relevant.
You will have significant experience of working young people with behaviours that are challenging at times and dealing with sensitive and confidential matters.
The successful candidates will be strong team players with an organised, positive attitude to work, with the ability to demonstrate negotiating and influencing skills.
