Job description

Overview

Organize process flow of production area and actively participating in the manufacturing process. General production, and warehouse functions including machine operation, general machine maintenance, material handling, and inventory maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machines
• Problem solving and analytical skills
• Ensure the proper training of personnel
• Enforce company rules and regulations

• Ensure that accident reporting and investigations are timely and thorough

• Communicate team concerns to Supervisor or Human Resources for action

• Work with support departments to develop and implement productivity improvements

• Must be able to read, speak, and understand English

Additional/Alternate:

• Overtime and Saturdays may be required as determined by the Company when conditions require employees to work extra hours to satisfy customer demands. When this happens, employees will be expected to work overtime at the Supervisor’s request.

• Education and/or Experience: High School/GED or equivalent. At least 1 year of experience.
• Computer Skills: Must have basic computer skills.
• Communication Skills: Both verbal and written a must.
• Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common production reports and company documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers or members of the work team. Ability to effectively present information to management or work teams.

• Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Forklift Operation: Training and certification available.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
