Job summary

Stirling Council Housing Services is seeking an experienced Technical Supervisor to lead our Plumbing Section. Based within the Capital and Technical Team, this role involves inspecting properties, planning maintenance, and guiding the plumbing workforce.

You will ensure work is carried out safely, with regular reporting and liaison with tenants and colleagues. A full driving licence is essential and standby/on-call duties apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction and plumbing supervision.
• Recognised plumbing qualifications.
• Up-to-date gas qualifications.
• Knowledge of mechanical services.
• Understanding water safety byelaws and Legionella prevention.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Experience producing management information and performance reports.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out property inspections to identify repairs and planned maintenance.
• Oversee day-to-day management of the plumbing workforce and subcontractors.
• Prepare management and performance reports and safety briefings.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.
