Job summary

The Tracsis Group is seeking a Lead Platform Engineer to design, build and operate an AWS-based platform. You will lead technical strategy, drive reliability, and enhance observability while mentoring the team.

Join a mature platform engineering function working with Istio, Terraform, Crossplane, and GitLab CI/CD to deliver secure, scalable solutions. Remote with Leeds office visits; strong Linux skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years in platform, SRE or DevOps roles.
• Strong production experience with AWS/EKS and service mesh.
• Hands-on with Terraform, Crossplane and GitLab CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Owning technical strategy and architecture for the platform.
• Driving incident management, reliability, observability and on-call production ownership.
• Mentoring and motivating colleagues to raise the technical bar.
• Improving developer experience and working with the developer community.
• Building secure, observable and scalable cloud-native platforms with self-service concepts at scale.
• Living an “automate everything” philosophy with cost awareness (FinOps).
