Job summary

Searchability NS&D in the United Kingdom seeks a Lead Platform Engineer to design and build secure, scalable cloud platforms for major UK public sector programmes. You will lead agile teams, mentor engineers, and help deliver enterprise-scale infrastructure with IaC and CI/CD.

The role requires SC clearance or eligibility, strong Linux skills, and hands-on experience with Terraform, Kubernetes and Docker in cloud environments.

Qualifications

• SC cleared or eligible to obtain SC clearance.
• Experience designing and delivering cloud platforms for the public sector.
• Strong Linux engineering and scripting experience.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab or similar tools.
• Ability to provide technical leadership within delivery teams.

THE LEAD PLATFORM ENGINEER ROLE
