Lead Planning, Monitoring & Control Professional - Planning, Barrow-in-Furness

Job summary

We are seeking a Lead Planning, Monitoring & Control Professional for a 12-month contract in Barrow-in-Furness. The role offers a rate of £63.40ph UMB or £47ph PAYE (Inside IR35).

Key skills required:

• Experience in Planning, Monitoring & Control (PM&C)

Role responsibilities:

• Manage PM&C processes for small projects or parts of larger projects, such as specific work packages, or support Project Managers in larger projects.
• Lead a small team of up to 5 professionals, overseeing their performance and development.
• Apply and adapt PM&C practices across different project circumstances, guiding others as needed.

Job requirements:

• Candidates must be experienced in Planning (not suitable for non-planners).
• Proficient in P6 planning software.
• Already hold SC clearance.
• Significant experience in production planning or planning engineering within the defence sector.
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

Qualifications:

• Relevant PM competencies and a university degree or substantial practical experience.
• PM Qualification such as APM Project Management Qualification is preferred.

Security clearance:

Must have SC clearance already, subject to ITAR and UK eyes only.
