The Opportunity…

The UK Sports Institute and Paddle UK have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Physiotherapist.

A snapshot of the role…

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced physiotherapist to provide exceptional Physiotherapy services to our Canoe Slalom and Kayak disciplines.

The sport of Canoe Slalom tests speed, agility, and precision with the excitement of white-water rapids. With ambitious targets for LA 2028, this role is crucial for achieving our medal goals and strategic objectives. Our program has a history of winning medals at World and Olympic levels. Following the addition of Kayak cross in Paris, this role also offers an opportunity to develop expertise in this emerging discipline.

The successful applicant will support approximately 20 athletes based at LVWWC. Working collaboratively with the wider team, the role involves establishing and delivering strategies to optimize athlete health, minimize time-loss, and enhance on-water performance. We foster a supportive environment that encourages challenging established thinking and pursuing world-class performance. The candidate will also contribute to initiatives beyond traditional injury management, focusing on performance optimization and injury prevention through prehabilitation, travel, and lifestyle load management.

If you believe you can bring the necessary expertise to help us shape our future, we look forward to hearing from you.
