Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Physiotherapist working with adults with learning (intellectual) disabilities in the Cambridgeshire Learning Disability Partnership (LDP). The service is well-established, offering many opportunities for development.
The LDP includes five locality-based integrated community health and care management teams comprising social workers, adult support coordinators, psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists, arts therapists, speech & language therapists, and day and accommodation services organized by the Local Authority. The team employs a variety of professionals, including a Band Lead Speech and Language Therapist, two Band Advanced SLTs, two Band Specialist SLTs, and a Band Apprentice SLT, all employed by CPFT. The service maintains close links with colleagues at CPFT, the University of East Anglia, and the University of Cambridge, regularly providing placements for undergraduate students.
The teams aim to deliver person-centred, integrated specialist health and care management services that promote individuals' rights to choice, independence, health, and wellbeing, aligned with their assessed needs and potential.
