We’re hiring a Lead PHP Developer with deep architectural & analytical expertise to help shape the next generation of learning and analytics platforms in the financial services sector. This is a high-impact role for someone who can blend clean, scalable code with modern architecture patterns — and enjoys solving complex backend challenges in a data-driven environment.

You’ll lead the design and development of core services powering enterprise applications, e-learning systems, and advanced reporting tools, all within a cloud-first, AWS-based microservices ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and lead development of complex, modular PHP applications using Laravel.
• Design scalable microservices, APIs, and distributed backend systems that power learning and analytics tools used globally.
• Guide architectural decisions across data modeling, service boundaries, performance optimization, and system security.
• Drive DevOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code best practices (AWS-focused).
• Collaborate across teams to align engineering with business, compliance, and product goals.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in PHP development with a strong command of Laravel or Symfony in production.
• Proven experience designing scalable backend architectures, including microservices, event-driven systems, and API-first platforms.
• Strong knowledge of MySQL (or similar RDBMS) with raw SQL tuning and schema design for performance at scale.
• Experience building or integrating analytics/reporting systems — understanding of data pipelines, warehousing, or BI tools is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native architectures, preferably AWS (EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3, etc.).
• Comfortable leading architectural reviews, producing technical documentation, and mentoring dev teams on best practices.
