Role Overview

We are seeking a registered pharmacy technician with a recognized checking accuracy qualification to join our Pharmacy Medicines Finance team as a Lead Pharmacy Technician / Senior Medicines Management Technician.

This role offers the opportunity to gain experience in medicines procurement, finance, and governance, working closely with clinical pharmacists and multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient safety, experience, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Medicines Finance: Collaborate with the Lead Pharmacist to identify, implement, and monitor cost-saving initiatives, support expenditure reporting, and oversee pharmacy technical services in this area.
  2. Medicines Management: Work with clinical pharmacists to optimize medicine use, improve patient care during admission and discharge, including medication assessments, counseling, discharge prescriptions, and supporting ward storage and security.

This position involves rostered 7-day working, including weekends and bank holidays. While full-time hours are standard, part-time arrangements can be considered for suitable candidates.
