Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will work at a senior level within the service and play an influential role in the patient care pathway whilst building upon proven clinical skills. The combination of responsibilities will significantly facilitate your growth in both the clinical and leadership aspects of this role.

You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to promote clinical and cost-effective prescribing through evidence based guidelines. The post holder will develop, audit and monitor Medicines Management processes within the service and provide training and supervision to departmental staff.

Training and support will be provided. A commitment to continuing professional development is essential. It is envisaged that the candidate will possess a prescribing qualification or be prepared to work towards one.

  • Vocational master's degree in pharmacy.
  • 12 months pre-registration training and experience.
  • Registered with the GPhC.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Clinical Pharmacy.
