Are you an experienced renal pharmacist and independent prescriber looking for an opportunity to lead, innovate and shape a new clinical service?
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Lead Pharmacist for Renal Services to provide strategic and clinical leadership to our renal pharmacy service.
A key priority for this post, and an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate, will be to design, establish and lead a pharmacist-led immunosuppressant prescribing service. You will work closely with renal consultants, nursing colleagues, pharmacy teams and other key stakeholders to develop the clinical pathways, governance arrangements and operational processes required to deliver a safe, effective and patient-focused service. You will also act as the lead Pharmacist Independent Prescriber for the service.
This is an opportunity to move beyond established ways of working and help develop an innovative model of care in which pharmacists use their prescribing expertise and advanced clinical skills to improve access, continuity and medicines optimisation for renal patients.
This role would suit an accomplished senior clinical pharmacist who has the credibility, clinical expertise and leadership skills to develop a new prescribing service while continuing to provide expert care to patients.
