We provide comprehensive care, including psychoeducation, prescribing, educational navigation, and therapy, all under one roof.

The Role

This position is ideal for a motivated, enthusiastic prescribing pharmacist with extensive clinical skills in ADHD and leadership. You should be flexible, solution-focused, and growth-minded, with experience prescribing for both adults and children. The Lead Pharmacist will support the Clinical Lead in ensuring safe, effective care within the centralized prescribing team and the wider ADHD team. Your role is crucial in maintaining a high standard of clinical care and operational efficiency within ProblemShared.

You will have line management responsibilities for the prescribing team, alongside clinical duties, and will drive service improvements to enhance pathway efficiency and client experience. Collaboration with Team Leads, the Clinical Lead, and the medication operations team is essential to uphold high standards of care and service delivery.

You Will
  • Support the development of a centralized prescribing model within the duty team.
  • Print and dispatch prescriptions created electronically by prescribers.
  • Review prescribing decisions as a second line check.
  • Assist the duty team with client queries, repeat prescription requests, and monitoring duty tickets.
  • Review physical observations submitted by clients and discuss results with clients and/or the wider prescribing team.
  • Escalate issues, concerns, or abnormal results appropriately.
  • Line manage prescribers in the duty team.
  • Provide pharmacological advice and supervision support to the team.
  • Manage prescription pads and log prescription numbers.
  • Monitor risk during client interactions.
  • Engage with MDT or liaise with specialist advisory groups (cardiologists, psychiatrists, paediatricians, ND experts).
  • Interview and support the onboarding of new candidates.
  • Participate in personal development and training.
  • Support safeguarding and risk management efforts.
  • Coordinate team meetings and agendas for the centralized prescribing service.
  • Ensure delivery of evidence-based, high-quality care aligned with national guidance.
Quality Check
  • Conduct monthly quality reviews of 2% of clinical records within the prescribing team to uphold standards.
  • Identify improvement areas and provide constructive feedback.
Assessment and Evaluation
  • Lead daily workload allocation meetings.
  • Attend team meetings, supervision, and CPD sessions to maintain competency and compliance.
Team Support
  • Provide clinical pharmacy support to team members.
Meetings and Communication
  • Participate in weekly team meetings to discuss updates and foster collaboration.
  • Attend weekly meetings with the Clinical Lead to review performance and align on strategic goals.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Maintain current knowledge of best practices in digital healthcare.
  • Collaborate across departments for integrated care.
  • Promptly escalate issues or conflicts.
  • Ensure regulatory and policy compliance.

  • Commitment to high standards of clinical care and ongoing improvement.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance.
  • Right to work in the UK.

What We Offer

  • 30 days annual leave plus public holidays, with options to buy/sell leave and extended leave options.
