Leadership and Management Lead and manage the clinical pharmacy team, providing guidance, mentorship and support to foster a culture of excellence and collaboration.
Clinical oversight Provide professional oversight of clinical pharmacy services across all wards, clinics and departments, ensuring the safe, effective and cost-efficient use of medicines.
Clinical Practice To develop an area of clinical expertise and provide a regular clinical commitment, working as an independent prescriber in a specialist area of practice.
Strategic development Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance clinical pharmacy services, aligning with organisational objectives and national guidelines
Education and Training Lead the education and training of clinical pharmacy staff, ensuring continuous professional development and adherence to best practices.
Collaboration and Integration Collaborate with senior medical, nursing and managerial staff to improvement medicines management process and integrate pharmacy services across the healthcare system
Research and innovation Drive research and innovation in clinical pharmacy practice, contributing to the advancement of knowledge and best practices in the field
Quality Assurance Establish processes for monitoring and assessing performance and standards within the clinical pharmacy service ensuring continuous improvement and adherence to regulatory requirements.
Community Engagement Foster strong partnerships with community healthcare providers and regional stakeholders to enhance collaborative care and service delivery.
Workforce Planning Lead workforce planning initiatives within the clinical pharmacy service, ensuring appropriate skill mix and resource allocation.
