Bedford Borough Council is seeking a Team Leader for Passenger Transport and Sustainable Travel to drive sustainable travel initiatives and oversee the local bus network. You will coordinate policy delivery, budgets, and information services while engaging with transport providers and stakeholders across the council and community.

The role includes leading on bus stop infrastructure, contract procurement and performance monitoring to ensure compliance with national legislation and KPI targets.

• Support the delivery of the Council’s public transport policies, objectives and budgets.
• Develop and promote a more sustainable transport network across all modes of travel.
• Lead on delivering bus stop infrastructure and manage relationships with local transport providers.
• Procurement, management and monitoring of contracts to ensure high delivery standards and compliance with KPI’s and legislation.
