Job summary

Goddard Veterinary Group is seeking a part-time Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join our Barking branch, working 2–3 days per week with one Friday mandatory. The role is a sole charge RVN position, coordinating day-to-day practice operations alongside the vet, with support from the Wanstead hospital network and regional management.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid RVN registration in the UK.
• Experience in small animal GP environment is advantageous.
• Comfortable working in sole charge branch GP setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pet health consultations and provide management and treatment recommendations based on best practice.
• Perform surgical procedures within personal competence and aftercare boundaries.
• Prescribe, dispense and manage medications per current medicines legislation and RCVS guidance.
• Keep accurate clinical notes and ensure pet histories are thorough and accessible to the team.
• Refer cases to GVG Hospital promptly when necessary.
• Support a collaborative team environment and help schedule branch meetings and SOPs.
• Oversee diary management for consultations and surgeries in line with company policies.
