Job summary

Gloucestershire Music is seeking a highly skilled and passionate ensemble instructor to lead Gloucestershire Symphonic Wind Orchestra (GSWO) for adults. This role supports music education by tutoring, instructing and coaching the musicians in this ensemble.

The ensemble meets Mondays 7-9pm during term-time at Colwell Arts Centre, Gloucester, for advanced wind, brass and percussion players. The salary reflects 2.25 hours per week for 30 weeks a year.

Qualifications

• Experience leading adult ensembles.
• Ability to motivate and inspire adult musicians.
• Knowledge of symphonic wind repertoire.

Responsibilities

• Lead Gloucestershire Symphonic Wind Orchestra (GSWO) on Mondays 7-9pm during term-time.
• Provide instruction, tutoring and coaching to adult musicians.
• Possibly wider teaching within Gloucestershire Music service.
