Job summary

Wye Valley NHS Trust is seeking an enthusiastic Registered Children's Nurse to join our Paediatric Services team. You will deliver compassionate, patient-centred care across ward, assessment unit, outpatients and emergency department, working within a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for children and young people.

The role offers opportunities to develop leadership, take charge of the ward in absence of senior staff, and contribute to safeguarding and education

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse Children with UK registration.
• Child Health degree or equivalent.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, family-centred paediatric care across multiple settings.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised nursing care.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe patient care.
• Take charge of the ward or department in the absence of senior staff.
• Support supervision and education of students and junior staff.
• Participate in safeguarding and maintain accurate patient records.
