Job description

Our client based on the outskirts of Lincoln is looking for a Lead Packing Operative. In the role of Lead Packing Operative you will be responsible for packing processed extruded food products. You will ensure to do this safely, to the required finished standard, as effectively as possible.

Key Duties of Lead Packing Operative:

• Running a packing line including product feed, bagging, technical checks and recording, palletization, and finished product transfer to warehouse
• Creating stock on CEMEX
• Capture, segregation, and transfer of waste for rework
• Clean as you go, and wider site cleaning as and when required
• Hour by hour management of packing operatives with regard to deployment on assets, changeovers and clean-downs, and break management
• Training and supervision of packing operatives
• Stepping up to run the shift in the absence of the Shift Manager as and when required

Requirements of Lead Packing Operative:

• Manufacturing background (Food Production is advantageous)
• Food Safety L2 and Awareness of BRC
• IOSH Working Safely
• Can do attitude
• Team player
• Open to change and willing to learn

Pay is 14.66 per hour.

Hours are on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern doing rotating shifts of days and nights.

Own Transport required due to location.
