Job summary

Greenvale AP Ltd in Cambridgeshire is seeking a Machine Operator to safely lead the packing line, weighing, bagging and checkweighing on allocated lines. You will supervise staff, operate the line and ensure GMP and PPE compliance on site.

You will use Navision ERP, perform quality checks every 20 minutes, coordinate with engineers and quality teams, and work toward targets with full training and progression opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar position, ideally in Fresh Produce.
• Computer literate with Microsoft Office packages e.g. Word/Excel/Outlook
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage time effectively, planning workload and meet targets
• Able to work on own initiative
• Experience with ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Navision
• Understanding of H&S, Risk Assessments and Standard Operating Procedures

Responsibilities

• Producing completed orders to the agreed customer specifications
• Supporting to Senior Team Leader to meet agreed performance targets
• Completing relevant checks and processes using Navision 13 system
• Communicating effectively with all key colleagues
• Interacting proactively with Engineers, Technicians, Prepack Process Controllers and Senior Team Leaders on related machinery issues and opportunities
• Interacting proactively with the Quality Team and Senior Team Leaders on crop quality related issues and opportunities
• Ensuring quality checks, FPQA are completed every 20 minutes in line with Company procedures
• Complying with shadow board issuing procedures, ensuring tolls are stored back correctly in the box/board when not in use
• Keeping your work area in a good, clean condition following the ‘clean as you go’ procedure
• Ensuring adherence to Company policies, procedures and guidelines
• Actively be involved in continuous improvement and processes on site
• Operating the machinery in your area of responsibility proficiently
• Leading the team members working on the allocated line, ensuring PPE and Good Manufacturing Practice compliance
• Monitoring to ensure breaking down/rework is being processed during the line run
