Lead OT Test Specialist

That’s where you come in. We’re on the lookout for a Lead OT Test Specialist to join our dynamic team and drive excellence across our operational technology environments. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring our SCADA systems and OT devices are tested, secure, and fit for purpose — not just for today, but for the future of energy.

Working cross-functionally with engineering, IT and digital delivery, you’ll lead testing strategy, execution and improvement. This is a rare opportunity to work hands-on with real-time operational technologies that underpin the UK’s gas distribution network. This role is based in our Ansty, Coventry or Leicester offices and requires presence on site 4 days per week.

You’ll work at the cutting edge of digital transformation in the utilities sector, lead meaningful testing strategies, and contribute to the secure delivery of services to millions of customers. It's an opportunity to be part of something bigger while developing yourself as a leader in your field.

• Strategic Testing - Shape, plan and optimise our OT testing approach.
• Critical Systems - Work hands-on with SCADA and essential gas infrastructure.
• Cross-Functional Role - Collaborate across IT, engineering and operational teams.
• Mentor & Lead - Guide and develop junior testers and analysts.
• Innovation Focused - Drive automation and improve tools, systems and security.

You’re a technically skilled professional with a deep understanding of operational technology and a strategic mindset. You bring hands-on experience, stakeholder confidence, and a desire to lead and not just deliver.

• OT & SCADA systems - Knowledge of gas infrastructure, field devices and OT networks.
• Comprehensive testing skills - Experience across performance, system, security and UAT testing.
• Test strategy & tools - Confident in building strategy and using tools to automate and optimise.
• Leadership mindset - Comfortable mentoring others and managing cross-functional tasks.
• Security & compliance - Strong grasp of standards, encryption, vulnerability and risk management.
