Job summary

Southern Water is seeking an experienced Lead Architect to drive the NIS programme, defining and governing the overall technology architecture across OT, IT, data and security. You will chair governance, steer end-to-end roadmaps, and ensure regulatory alignment.

This role requires strong leadership, OT/ICS expertise, and the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships to deliver business outcomes. Hybrid working available in Falmer or Durrington.

Qualifications

• Significant experience designing and governing OT/industrial control systems.
• Proven ability to lead architecture across large-scale transformation programmes.
• Strong knowledge of OT security standards and integration with IT/cloud data.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture across a complex, business-critical programme.
• Define end-to-end architecture roadmap and key design decisions.
• Ensure alignment across OT, IT, security and data domains.
• Establish and chair architecture governance and design assurance activities.
• Review designs from internal teams, SI partners, and vendors.
• Identify architectural risks and cross-programme impacts.
• Collaborate with leadership to align technology with business outcomes.
• Act as the primary architectural advisor for stakeholders.
