The Role

You will leverage your extensive knowledge of optical and laser principles to lead R&D projects, handle technical inquiries, assess feasibility, and propose work statements. Presenting results to diverse audiences and potentially managing team members or contributing to business development are also key aspects.

Experience

• Broad understanding of lasers and optical systems, especially free space and high power
• Ability to interpret detailed technical information for varied audiences
• Experience leading R&D projects, managing resources, budgets, and timelines
• Peer-review experience for quality assurance
• Optical design or fibre optics knowledge is desirable but not essential
