Job description

Please note that the advertised salary for this position is subject to a pending pay award. The final salary will be adjusted in line with the nationally agreed pay award.

We are looking to recruit a Lead Operative to join our Highways and Environmental Services team on a permanent basis, based at our Penrhos Depot in Llandysul.

On a day-to-day basis you will:

  • lead a Team working in a number of varied tasks, tarmacing, slabing etc
  • may be required to drive vehicles with specialist driving skills

We are looking to recruit an individual:

  • who has a full Valid UK Driving license
  • who has a knowledge of Highway Maintenance Activities
  • who is aware of Safe working practices

The post requires a degree of fluency in the Welsh language. Please note that a successful applicant without the required Welsh language skill will be fully supported to reach the required standard within two years of appointment.
