Lead Offshore Consent Manager for Offshore Wind Farm

We are seeking a Lead Offshore Consent Manager to join the Consents Team to lead in the management and delivery of all offshore consents and supporting environmental assessments for the project. This is a full-time position.

Remote work with occasional trips to Glasgow (approximately once per month). The contract is for 12 months on a rolling basis.

Salary: £- per day via PAYE Umbrella/Inside IR35.

Ideal Candidate Experience/Skills:
  • Background and knowledge in offshore wind and/or offshore/marine ecology.
  • Experience with consenting processes, preferably NSIP/DCO and Marine Licensing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and an innovative approach to consenting issues with a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to build productive relationships and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A commercial approach to work, challenging colleagues, stakeholders, and contractors to manage risks and achieve project objectives.
  • Strong organizational skills to produce high-quality work within deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in renewables, deputising for senior colleagues, and engaging in strategic discussions on complex technical and environmental issues.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and execute the consent strategy and project management for all offshore elements to achieve development consent.
  • Report to the Consents Team Manager.
  • Lead and support the development of the Offshore Consent Manager role.
  • Manage consultants and liaise with the wider consents and project team.
  • Provide consenting advice and manage offshore consenting risks for complex workstreams.
  • Engage with key external stakeholders.
