Job summary

North Lincolnshire Council is seeking a proactive Lead Officer Audit to steer the internal audit plan and guide the team. You will collaborate with senior management to plan assignments and deliver complex audits, aiming to strengthen controls, reduce risks and add value across the council.

We are currently seeking a dedicated, motivated and innovative Lead Officer Audit. This is an exciting opportunity to continue to shape our audit service. We have made a number of recruitments in recent years as we continue to grow our team.

The role will lead the delivery of the audit plan and support the Head of Internal Audit in their role. Supporting other members of the team to complete their audits to Global Internal Audit Standards and in line with local performance measures and carrying out the most complex audits.

The successful candidate will have broad experience in Audit and management of team members. You will liaise with senior management in planning and delivery of assignments. You will be able to undertake complex audits whilst supporting the team to deliver their projects aimed at improving controls, reducing risks and adding value across the organisation.
