Job summary

Active Care Group seeks a Lead Occupational Therapist to guide and develop therapy services at our Blackheath and nearby Chislehurst units. You will balance a clinical caseload with team leadership, ensuring high standards of practice and outstanding patient outcomes.

You will oversee governance, staff development and service development while maintaining hands-on engagement with rehabilitation and patient-centred care.

Qualifications

HCPC registration confirmed and active.
Experience in neurological rehabilitation or related fields.
Proven leadership ability to mentor and inspire teams.
Demonstrated commitment to innovation and patient outcomes.
Enhanced DBS required if employed.

Responsibilities

Lead with impact: manage, mentor and inspire the OT team to deliver high-quality care.
Clinical leadership: maintain a small caseload focusing on complex needs while guiding best practices.
Shape the service: drive service development and strategic improvements.
Support others: supervise, teach and develop staff and students.
Collaborate across disciplines: work with patients, families and the wider team for holistic rehab.
Quality and safety: lead on governance, audits and risk management.
