Job summary

Barchester Healthcare Limited is seeking an Occupational Therapist for an independent mental health hospital. You will create and develop therapy services, focusing on improving patients' quality of life through targeted OT interventions tailored to individual needs.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team, monitor service delivery, and support OT Assistants while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Experience in mental health environment preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to control budgets, utilise resources and provide statistical returns on the service.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement treatment programmes with a multi-disciplinary team.
• Regularly monitor and evaluate the OT service.
• Lead by example to inspire and motivate Occupational Therapy Assistants and ensure policy adherence (Mental Health Act 1983, Mental Capacity Act 2005).
