As a Lead Nurse in Pre-Assessment at our Brighton Hospital, you’re registered with the appropriate governing body and you have the relevant qualifications and experience, including NMC registration. With excellent proven leadership skills, you hold post-registration experience in care of patients, pre and post operatively, in specialties ranging from Cardiac to Colorectal, Orthopaedic, ENT, Gynae, and Urology, or proven experience in Pre-operative assessment.

You should have proven experience in Phlebotomy, ECG taking, and Clinical Assessment – training can be provided.

As Lead Pre-assessment Nurse, you will:

• Support the Pre-Assessment Manager in the efficient running of the Pre-Assessment Department
• Coordinate activity and be responsible for patient care and safety
• Be instrumental to the patient experience, ensuring seamless, personalised care
• Work well with consultants who are experts in their field
• Apply your knowledge and skills in assessment, care planning, and delivery
• Champion a supportive, enabling working culture in the department, promoting staff safety

Other facilities include physiotherapy and a diagnostic department. We are located in Woodingdean, on the east side of Brighton, with easy access by rail and road, including free parking.
