A leading healthcare provider in St Helens is seeking a Lead Nurse in Dermatology to provide expert leadership and management within a multi-disciplinary team. The successful candidate will offer advanced clinical expertise for dermatology patients and ensure high quality patient care. Candidates should have substantial experience at band 7 and be committed to evidence-based practices, with a competitive salary range of £55,690 to £62,682 per year.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Trust as a Lead Nurse in Dermatology based at St Helens Hospital. The post-holder will provide expert leadership and management within a multi-disciplinary team and provide highly advanced specialist/clinical nursing expertise for dermatology patients.
The post holder will advise primary and secondary care clinicians about setting up, implementation, delivery and evaluation of patient care utilising evidence-based practice, and will provide a service in accordance with national, regional and local guidance, standards and protocols to ensure positive patient outcomes. They will contribute to senior management and governance frameworks within the care group and be line manager to band 7 and band 6 nurse specialists/nurse practitioners. A job plan will be agreed and reviewed annually, including appropriate clinical supervision. The JD & PS are currently under AfC review and are subject to change. Interview Date is To Be Confirmed.

Essential: NMC registration Part 1; speciality-related courses; degree level; teaching/coaching/mentoring qualification; Leadership module; Independent Non-Medical Prescriber. Desirable: Masters level.
Knowledge & Experience: Essential — substantial post-registration experience, experience at band 7, developing clinical pathways/protocols, audit and research, multidisciplinary working. Skills: excellent communication, change management, teaching, teamwork, prioritisation, advanced nursing skills, IT; Desirable — influence at Board level.
