Job description

Are you a dedicated Registered Nurse looking for a new challenge within a secure setting focusing on substance misuse and primary care? Have you developed your leadership skills across integrated and multi-disciplinary services? Are you a motivated nurse committed to clinical quality and continuous improvement? Would you welcome the opportunity for further training and development? Do you want to combine your substance misuse, primary care, acute and emergency nursing skills all in one place and keep your NHS Pension?

You must have significant post-registration experience with excellent clinical nursing knowledge and eagerness to develop managerial skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial, with the ability to work well as part of a multi-disciplinary team. If you are motivated with a desire to enhance your clinical and leadership skills, we offer a wide range of training and development opportunities.

The welcome payment is payable to new candidates joining Spectrum Community Health CIC.

The post holder will be responsible for the daily management, coordination, and delivery of evidence-based care, providing strong clinical leadership to the nursing team. This includes shift planning, adjusting staffing levels, and prioritizing workload according to patient need, service demand, and staff skills.

The role involves providing and supervising holistic care for patients, collaborating with other professionals to ensure optimal care. This includes assessing, advising, and administering evidence-based care within Health & Justice, leading physical health services as part of a multidisciplinary team to meet prisoner healthcare needs, and contributing to the development of integrated prison healthcare services. The role requires knowledge of health issues and evidence-based treatments to guide physical health and wellbeing within the prison setting.
