Come and join the Derbyshire Early Intervention in Psychosis Service based in Derby!

Join a supportive, friendly and diverse team who support people experiencing/experienced or suspected first episode psychosis.

The multi-disciplinary team consists of Lead Mental Health Nurses, Senior Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Therapists, Consultant Psychiatrists, Mental Health Practitioners, Peer Support Workers, Community Support Workers, Youth & Community Workers and Team Administrators.

The team works together to achieve the best outcome for the person and their family/social network using evidence-based interventions.

The team Derbyshire Early Intervention in Psychosis Service work with people aged - years old.

The team have a ‘family first’ and biopsychosocial approach to providing care to an individual whilst in our service.

We support people into education, training, volunteering, and employment, accessing social groups/activities and support their physical health outcomes too in order to provide holistic care to the person receiving the service.

There are opportunities for further training and development within the role!

Main duties of the job

  • Assist in the assessment of psychosis and general mental health
  • Be actively involved in weekly MDT meetings
  • Managing a caseload of First Episode Psychosis (FEP)
  • Completing extended assessments
  • Use psycho-social interventions including family intervention, carer education and support and CBTp informed practice
  • Comprehensive care planning and safety assessing/ planning
  • Safeguarding adults and children

    Working as a Case Manager/Care Program Co-ordinator, the successful applicant will work in the community to support people experiencing a first episode of psychosis.

    Working within the multi-disciplinary team to support the individual in a holistic way to understand their mental health along with supporting their families/ carers.

    To work within NMC code of conduct and CPA.
