Job summary

The Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester is seeking an innovative, self-motivated nurse to develop leadership and management skills within the Clinical Research Facility. You will support the CRF manager, co-ordinate the unit, and ensure safe delivery of early phase trial activity with the right skill mix.

You will develop clinical skills, mentor junior staff, and lead on professional development while aligning with the trust's standards and research protocols.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Nursing Studies.
• Post Registration Certificate in Cancer or equivalent.
• Management Course.
• Teaching & assessing certificate or equivalent.
• Completion of CRF band 5 development programme.

Responsibilities

• Act as a lead for clinical and professional development of new nursing staff to the MCRF.
• Co-ordinating and managing the unit with awareness of patient acuity and skill mix for trial activity.
• Facilitate delivery of protocol driven research with patients, relatives and the MDT.
• Lead and mentor junior nurses to maintain high motivation and development.
• Manage staff as requested by the Unit Manager.
• Contribute to core practice standards and clinical audit to improve practice.
