Job summary

LLOYD'S REGISTER INTERNATIONAL is seeking a Dynamic-Evolving Model of Outreach (DEMO) Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) in Sandwell. The role involves prescribing opioid substitution and primary care meds, delivering harm reduction, and leading a small outreach team to support people who inject drugs in the area.

The post emphasises rapid response to overdoses, trauma-informed practice, and engagement with social care, housing, benefits and other services.

Responsibilities

• Prescribe opioid substitution medications and primary care medications where appropriate.
• Engage with the target group and deliver harm reduction interventions such as wound care, dry blood spot testing and naloxone.
• Lead a small outreach team including an Outreach Practitioner and Sandwell peers.
• Coordinate responses to near-fatal overdoses and reduce risk of further incidents.
• Work flexibly including evenings and unsociable hours to meet service needs.
