Lead .Net Developer - Manchester City Centre (hybrid) - £75k

Consultant: Lead Developer - Manchester City Centre (2 days p/w in office) up to £75k + bonus

This is an excellent opportunity to develop the next generation of senior leadership within the organisation and gain experience with Blazor.

Based in Manchester City Centre with 2 days a week in the office (Wed, Thurs), this Lead role offers up to £75k + a 10% bonus.

Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager and working with other Lead Developers, you will provide technical leadership on complex workstreams that run in parallel with other teams. These workstreams focus on back-end development of trading tools used by internal stakeholders.

The organisation is transitioning to a microservices architecture, balancing legacy system work with new development initiatives. This role provides the opportunity to influence change and adopt new technologies.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading the design and implementation of technical solutions
  • Serving as the primary technical resource for a team of 10 developers
  • Driving continuous improvements in tooling or processes, including running POCs
  • Fostering collaboration across teams on overlapping projects and technologies
  • Supporting and maintaining AWS development and test environments
  • Hands-on coding

Requirements:

  • Experience leading a team and implementing process improvements
  • Extensive experience with C#, .NET, SQL Server, and NoSQL databases like MongoDB
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins
  • Understanding of database operations and clustering
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
  • Experience working with large-scale systems
