Job summary

Recruit with Purpose in London is seeking an experienced Lead .NET Developer to join a housing organisation on an initial 6-month contract. The role combines hands-on software development with technical leadership across delivery, troubleshooting and engineering standards.

You will lead development in C#, SQL and cloud-based solutions on AWS, work with Docker and Kubernetes, and use Terraform for infrastructure-as-code.

Rate: Up to £475 per day

About the role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Lead .NET Developer to join a housing organisation on an initial 6-month contract.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the development, support and continuous improvement of a modern application environment, combining hands‑on software development with technical leadership across delivery, troubleshooting and engineering standards.

This is a strongly technical role, so we are looking for someone who is comfortable getting into the detail while also helping provide direction across the wider development team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to the development of applications using .NET / C#
• Support the design, build and maintenance of cloud-based solutions
• Work across AWS environments and associated cloud services
• Develop and support solutions using SQL and MySQL
• Build and support containerised solutions
• Work with Docker and Kubernetes across development and deployment environments
• Use Terraform to support infrastructure‑as‑code and environment provisioning
• Support and improve CI/CD pipelines
• Carry out detailed troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis
• Identify and resolve application, infrastructure and deployment issues
• Work closely with developers, technical teams and wider stakeholders to ensure successful delivery
• Help drive development standards, engineering best practice and technical quality
• Support deployment, release and ongoing application stability
• Provide technical guidance and leadership where required

6-month initial contract

The role requires 2–3 days per week onsite, with the remainder worked remotely.
