Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a Naval Architect for our client, a marine engineering firm in Bristol. The role is principal level, requiring hands-on experience with hydrodynamics and hydrostatics, and involving ship/submarine manoeuvring modelling.

The position is Bristol-based with on-site work three days per week and a salary of £55,000 to £65,000 plus benefits. UK security clearance is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience as a Naval Architect.
• Experience in ship or submarine manoeuvring modelling.
• Strong understanding of hydrodynamic principles and methods.
• Degree in Naval Architecture or related field (or equivalent experience).

Responsibilities

• Analyse ship manoeuvring performance from concept to in-service support, developing and validating mathematical manoeuvring models using test data.
• Collaborate with enterprise partners and naval teams to deliver submarine solutions and conduct hydrodynamic sea trials.
