To support our ongoing growth, we are expanding our MuleSoft capability to meet growing demand and are looking for a skilled and experienced Lead MuleSoft Consultant to join our growing team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading MuleSoft projects responsible for the design, development and integration solutions that connect Salesforce with enterprise systems, cloud applications and data services.

What do we need from you?
As an Alscient Lead MuleSoft Consultant we expect you to hit the ground running, you will be a self-motivated, excellent communicator, with the appropriate MuleSoft and Salesforce experience, supported by relevant certifications.
We want our Lead MuleSoft Consultants to be ‘hands-on’ and able to make an immediate impact by providing solution input when required and able to lead on a variety of customer engagements.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Lead the end-to-end design and delivery of MuleSoft APIs, integrations, event-driven flows, and orchestration layers, ensuring performance, scalability, error handling and monitoring.
- Architect robust integration solutions connecting Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and specialist clouds such as Marketing Cloud, CPQ, Experience Cloud,) to ERP, legacy systems, data warehouses, external partners and microservices.
- Lead a technical delivery team (MuleSoft developers, integration engineers), providing coaching, code reviews, and ensuring quality throughout.
- Drive proof of concepts, spike work, technology evaluations, and platform upgrades (MuleSoft versions, connectors).
- Translate business requirements into integration solutions, ensuring scalability, security and maintainability.
- Implement API-led connectivity following MuleSoft best practices.
- Create technical documentation, API specifications (RAML/OAS), and deployment guides.
- Conduct unit testing, debugging and performance optimisation.
- Collaborate with Salesforce teams to ensure seamless data and process integration.
- Support deployments and environment management (Cloud Hub, Runtime Fabric, or on-prem).
- Provide technical guidance to junior developers and contribute to knowledge-sharing.
- Collaborate with onshore UK consultants, developers, and project managers.
You will have:
- Proven experience (3 years) in leading, designing and implementing enterprise MuleSoft (Anypoint platform) integrations in complex environments.
- Hands-on expertise with MuleSoft Anypoint Studio, Anypoint Exchange, API Designer and API Manager.
- Appropriate Salesforce experience across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and at least one or more specialist clouds (Marketing Cloud, CPQ, Experience Cloud, Field Service).
- Strong understanding of integration patterns (synchronous, asynchronous, pub/sub, streams, orchestration vs. choreography).
- Proven experience building RESTful and SOAP APIs, including API security and governance.
- Proficiency in DataWeave transformations and Mule 4 development.
- Knowledge of common integration protocols (HTTP, JMS, FTP/SFTP, JDBC) and cloud connectors.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps) and version control (Git).
- Experience with CloudHub deployments and monitoring tools.
- Solid understanding of security patterns (OAuth 2.0, JWT, TLS).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder skills.
- Appropriate MuleSoft Developer certification. Architect certification would be desirable.
- Experience and knowledge of AWS as well as Jira and Confluence tools would be advantageous.
