Job summary

Practice Plus Group in Southampton seeks an experienced Lead MRI / Deputy Diagnostic Imaging Manager to blend hands-on MRI work with leadership, service development and mentoring within the Diagnostic Imaging team. You will support the Diagnostic Imaging Manager to deliver a safe, high-quality MRI service, oversee governance and staffing, and build relationships with NHS trusts and CCGs.

30 hours per week, shifts 07:30–18:00, Monday to Saturday as required.

Qualifications

• DCR (Diploma of the College of Radiographers) or equivalent and HCPC registration.
• Minimum of 3 years' post-graduate radiography experience, including at least 2 years in MRI.
• Evidence of CPD and commitment to learning.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in an acute hospital environment.
• Commercial awareness and service improvement focus.
• Ability to work independently and motivate colleagues.
• Patient-focused care with clinical excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support day-to-day MRI service delivery.
• Perform MRI examinations to high professional and clinical standards.
• Ensure patient safety, confidentiality and exceptional experience.
• Support service development and identify imaging enhancements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for smooth operations.
• Assist with staff development, competency assessments and training.
• Promote MRI service to referrers and aid business growth.
• Maintain accurate patient, technical and equipment records in line with quality standards.
