Job summary

MFI Technologies Incorporated is seeking a Lead Motion Editor to collaborate with the Motion Edit Supervisor and maintain a smoothly run department. You will execute non-destructive retargeting and refine motion-capture data to meet top-tier quality standards.

The role emphasizes human and prop motion, with mentorship of junior editors and occasional quadruped work when required. A strong showreel in high-end film VFX is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in high-end film VFX with an up-to-date showreel.
• Attention to detail and communication skills, coupled with collaboration.
• Proficient in Retargeting and Blending techniques.
• Experience Mocap animation and Maya; Linux and Shogun Post a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Motion Edit Supervisor to keep the department running smoothly.
• Execute non-destructive retargeting and refine motion-capture data to top benchmarks.
• Mentor junior teammates and elevate overall motion editing quality.
• Lead focus on human, props and bipedal characters, extending to quadrupeds when needed.
