Job Description:

A good client of mine, a leading digital consultancy, is currently looking to hire a Lead Mobile Tester for a 6-month initial project for a client in the automotive sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and drive the overall QE strategy for the mobile lab.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and third-party providers to ensure quality.
• Lead test planning, estimation, and execution for Flutter mobile apps and Java APIs.
• Develop and improve automation frameworks for mobile (Flutter) and backend (API) testing.
• Validate third-party APIs and SDKs integration.
• Monitor quality metrics, defect trends, and automation coverage.
• Promote a quality-first mindset throughout the team and development process.
• Mentor QE engineers and foster team growth.
• Improve QE tools, processes, and best practices continuously.

Must-Have Skills:

• 7+ years in Quality Engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Experience testing mobile apps, preferably Flutter or cross-platform frameworks.
• Strong understanding of Java-based APIs and backend testing.
• Experience with REST API automation tools like Postman or RestAssured.
• Knowledge of mobile automation frameworks such as Appium or Flutter Driver.
• Familiarity with tools like JIRA, TestRail, Jenkins, Git.
• Understanding of modern testing practices including shift-left, CI/CD, mocking, and contract testing.
• Experience testing third-party APIs and SDKs.
