Job summary

The Sun is seeking a Principal Apps Engineer to lead technical strategy and drive world‑class mobile apps for iOS and Android. You will work with engineering, product owners and stakeholders, shaping architecture, code quality, and delivery across features and releases.

You will play a pivotal role in hiring, mentoring, and growing the team while collaborating with leadership to align technical decisions with business goals in a fast-paced media environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in native mobile development for iOS and/or Android, modern and legacy languages.
• Apply test-driven development to ensure stability and reliability of mobile apps.
• Lead thorough code reviews to uphold high standards across the codebase.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical direction and team discussions.
• Ensure best practices and code quality across Sun mobile apps.
• Develop and maintain new features to meet business needs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define ticket requirements and priorities.
