Medway NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Lead Midwife for Education to provide strategic and operational leadership for education, training, workforce development and practice learning across maternity services.

The post holder will lead the development, implementation and evaluation of education programmes for registered and unregistered maternity staff, ensuring knowledge, skills and behaviours to deliver safe, effective and personalised care. The role works with HEIs, NHS England and LMNS.

Competenze

• Experience in education leadership within maternity services.
• Knowledge of NMC standards and practice-based learning governance.
• Ability to partner with HEIs and NHS bodies.

Mansioni

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for education, training, workforce development and practice learning across maternity services.
• Lead development, implementation and evaluation of education programmes for registered and unregistered maternity staff to ensure safe, effective and personalised care.
• Oversee maternity education strategy, governance of practice-based learning, preceptorship and apprenticeship pathways.
• Collaborate with Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), NHS England, Local Maternity and Neonatal Systems (LMNS), Professional Midwifery Advocates and internal stakeholders to ensure high-quality learning environments and outcomes.
• Support staff, learners and women and families with education and training initiatives.
