Job summary

Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust in Oldham seeks an experienced midwifery leader to shape and deliver high‑quality maternity services. You will drive clinical governance, lead on research and audit, and champion continuous improvement to ensure safe, compassionate care.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams, influence policy, and mentor staff and students, supporting the Trust's strategic priorities and positive patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Midwifery studies or equivalent.
• Masters Degree.
• Registered Midwife with current NMC registration.
• Evidence of working in midwifery practice and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead on the Future of Maternity Care and drive clinical governance.
• Provide strategic leadership across maternity services and quality initiatives.
• Support policy development, guidelines, and clinical protocols for safe practice.
• Mentor and supervise colleagues and students to develop capability.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver national and local priorities.
