A leading healthcare provider is seeking a Medicines Optimisation Lead to manage and enhance ward level medicines optimization services in Cornwall. The role involves overseeing a team, managing services, and ensuring compliance with best practices. Candidates should possess relevant qualifications and significant hospital pharmacy experience.
This post supports the Operational Lead pharmacy technician and Clinical Pharmacy Manager to deliver high quality ward level medicines optimisation services across all sites at the Royal Cornwall.
The post-holder will be responsible for the leadership and management of the Medicines Optimisation technician and pharmacy support team. The successful candidate will lead a team of approximately 20 staff members.
Manage and lead the Medicines Optimisation technician and assistant workforce.
Manage Medicines Optimisation services provided by RCHT to external organisations covered in Service Level Agreements.
Manage and lead the service delivery of the ward-based Medicines Optimisation service including staff, equipment and budget.
Support training in ward-based medicines management and optimisation activities.
Audit Services to ensure they meet legal requirements and follow best practice standards.
Manage the rotas for allocated pharmacy staff, to ensure there is adequate cover in all areas of the Pharmacy Department by working closely with other pharmacy section leads.
Be a member of the senior operational team.
